who will not receive one hundredfold now in this present time — houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children (tekna | τέκνα | acc pl neut) and fields, with persecutions — and in the coming age, eternal life.
Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, there is no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children (tekna | τέκνα | acc pl neut) or fields for my sake and for the sake of the gospel
The disciples were shocked at his words. But Jesus, responding again, said to them, “Children (tekna | τέκνα | voc pl neut), how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God!
He said to her, “Let the children (tekna | τέκνα | acc pl neut) first be fed, for it is not right to take the children’s (teknōn | τέκνων | gen pl neut) bread and throw it to the dogs.”
“Jerusalem, O Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those who are sent to you! How often have I wanted to gather your children (tekna | τέκνα | acc pl neut) together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!
They said, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies having no children (tekna | τέκνα | acc pl neut), his brother must marry the widow and raise up children for his brother.’
“What do you think? A man had two sons (tekna | τέκνα | acc pl neut), and he went to the first and said, ‘Son (teknon | τέκνον | voc sg neut), go and work today in the vineyard.’
And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children (tekna | τέκνα | acc pl neut) or lands for my name’s sake will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.
