| Acts 8:30 |
So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the (ton | τόν | acc sg masc) prophet and he said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” |
| Acts 8:31 |
And he (ho | ὁ | nom sg masc) said, “How could I unless someone guide me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. |
| Acts 8:32 |
Now the (hē | ἡ | nom sg fem) passage of (tēs | τῆς | gen sg fem) scripture the man was reading was this: “As a sheep to the slaughter he was led, and as a lamb dumb before its shearer, so he opens not his mouth. |
| Acts 8:33 |
In humiliation justice was taken from him. His family history who will declare? For his life is taken away from the (tēs | τῆς | gen sg fem) earth.” |
| Acts 8:34 |
And in answer the (ho | ὁ | nom sg masc) eunuch said to (tō | τῷ | dat sg masc) Philip, “I ask you, about whom does the (ho | ὁ | nom sg masc) prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?” |
| Acts 8:35 |
Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he announced the good news to him, Jesus. |
| Acts 8:36 |
And as they traveled along the (tēn | τήν | acc sg fem) road they came to some water; and the (ho | ὁ | nom sg masc) eunuch said, “Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?” |
| Acts 8:38 |
And he ordered the (to | τό | acc sg neut) carriage to stop, and they both went down into the (to | τό | acc sg neut) water, both Philip and the (ho | ὁ | nom sg masc) eunuch; and he baptized him. |
| Acts 8:39 |
And when they came up out of the (tou | τοῦ | gen sg neut) water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the (ho | ὁ | nom sg masc) eunuch saw him no more, but went on his way rejoicing. |
| Acts 8:40 |
But Philip was found at Azotus; and as he traveled through the area he announced the good news to all the (tas | τάς | acc pl fem) towns, until he came to Caesarea. |
| Acts 9:1 |
But Saul, still breathing threat and murder against the (tous | τούς | acc pl masc) disciples of the (tou | τοῦ | gen sg masc) Lord, went to the (tō | τῷ | dat sg masc) high priest |
| Acts 9:2 |
and requested from him letters to Damascus addressed to the (tas | τάς | acc pl fem) synagogues, that if he found any who were of the (tēs | τῆς | gen sg fem) Way, men or women, he should bring them bound to Jerusalem. |
| Acts 9:3 |
As he traveled along, approaching Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven shone all around him; |
| Acts 9:4 |
and falling to the (tēn | τήν | acc sg fem) ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” |
| Acts 9:5 |
And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he (ho | ὁ | nom sg masc) said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. |
| Acts 9:6 |
But rise and go into the (tēn | τήν | acc sg fem) city, and it will be told you what you must do.” |
| Acts 9:7 |
The (hoi | οἱ | nom pl masc) men who (hoi | οἱ | nom pl masc) were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the (tēs | τῆς | gen sg fem) voice but seeing no one. |
| Acts 9:8 |
So Saul got up from the (tēs | τῆς | gen sg fem) ground, but although his eyes were open, he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. |
| Acts 9:10 |
Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and the (ho | ὁ | nom sg masc) Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he (ho | ὁ | nom sg masc) replied, “Here I am, Lord.” |
| Acts 9:11 |
Then the (ho | ὁ | nom sg masc) Lord told him, “Get up and go to the (tēn | τήν | acc sg fem) street called ‘Straight,’ and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for even now he is praying, |
| Acts 9:12 |
and in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come in and lay his (tas | τάς | acc pl fem) hands on him so that he might regain his sight.” |
| Acts 9:13 |
But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he did to (tois | τοῖς | dat pl masc) your saints at Jerusalem. |
| Acts 9:14 |
And here he has authority from the (tōn | τῶν | gen pl masc) chief priests to imprison all who (tous | τούς | acc pl masc) call on your name.” |
| Acts 9:15 |
But the (ho | ὁ | nom sg masc) Lord said to him, “Go, for this man is for me a chosen instrument to (tou | τοῦ | gen sg neut) carry my name before both Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel, |
| Acts 9:16 |
for I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of (tou | τοῦ | gen sg neut) my name.” |
