For John came to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and prostitutes did believe. And even when you saw it, you did not change your minds and believe him.

And he answered, saying, ‘I will not,’ but later (hysteron | ὕστερον | adverb-comparative) he changed his mind and went.

And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.

I am not saying this because I am in need (hysterēsin | ὑστέρησιν | acc sg fem), for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstance I find myself.
