Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, “Go, take the scroll that is open in the hand (cheiri | χειρί | dat sg fem) of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.”
He held in his hand (cheiri | χειρί | dat sg fem) a little scroll that had been unrolled. Placing his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,
The rest of mankind, those who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands (cheirōn | χειρῶν | gen pl fem) so as to give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk.
After this I looked, and behold, a vast multitude that no one could count, people from every nation, tribe, cultural group, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands (chersin | χερσίν | dat pl fem),
And when he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand (cheiri | χειρί | dat sg fem).
In his right hand (cheiri | χειρί | dat sg fem) he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was shining like the sun at full strength.
That which has existed from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and our hands (cheires | χεῖρες | nom pl fem) have touched, concerning the word of life —
