Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc) Jesus by the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc), be the glory forever. Amen.

For such people do not serve our Lord Christ (Christō | Χριστῷ | dat sg masc) but their own appetites. By their smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the guileless.
