So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added on that day about (hōsei | ὡσεί | particle) three thousand souls.

And there appeared to them tongues spreading out like (hōsei | ὡσεί | particle) fire, and one came to rest on each one of them.

And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the brothers (a crowd of people, about (hōsei | ὡσεί | particle) a hundred and twenty, had gathered together), and said,

but these words seemed like (hōsei | ὡσεί | particle) nonsense to them, and they did not believe them.

It was already only about (hōsei | ὡσεί | particle) the sixth hour but darkness covered the whole land until the ninth hour,

Then after about (hōsei | ὡσεί | particle) an hour had passed a certain other person kept insisting, saying, “Surely this person also was with him, for he too is a Galilean.”

And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like (hōsei | ὡσεί | particle) great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Then he withdrew from them about (hōsei | ὡσεί | particle) a stone’s throw, knelt down and began to pray,

About (hōsei | ὡσεί | particle) eight days after these sayings, it happened that he went up on the mountain to pray, taking along Peter and John and James.

For there were about (hōsei | ὡσεί | particle) five thousand men. He said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about (hōsei | ὡσεί | particle) fifty each.”
