For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as (hōsper | ὥσπερ | conj) indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”),

just (hōsper | ὥσπερ | conj) as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience,

(I am speaking in human terms because of your natural limitations.) For just (hōsper | ὥσπερ | conj) as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, leading to sanctification.

Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, so that just (hōsper | ὥσπερ | conj) as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we might walk in newness of life.

so that just (hōsper | ὥσπερ | conj) as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

For just (hōsper | ὥσπερ | conj) as through one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.

Therefore, just (hōsper | ὥσπερ | conj) as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all because all have sinned —.

And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as (hōsper | ὥσπερ | particle) he did upon us at the beginning.

And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as (hōsper | ὥσπερ | particle) did your rulers as well.

And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like (hōsper | ὥσπερ | particle) a violent blast of wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
