For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) bodies to bear fruit for death.
We know that our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) old self was crucified with him, so that the body of sin would be rendered powerless, so that we (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) would no longer be enslaved by sin;
Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) might walk in newness of life.
so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) Lord.
And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we now have received reconciliation.
But God demonstrates his love for us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) in that while we (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) were still sinners Christ died for us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st).
and hope does not disappoint us, because the love of God has been poured out into our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st).
