So he asked them what time it was when his son got better, and they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.”

When therefore the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with (par | παρ᾿ | prep-dat) them. He stayed there for two days.

The Samaritan woman said to him, “How is it that you, a Jew, are asking for a drink from (par | παρ᾿ | prep-gen) me, a woman from Samaria?” (For Jews use nothing in common with Samaritans.)

Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two disciples who heard John and followed Jesus.

He said to them, “Come and you will see.” So they went and saw where he was staying, and they remained with (par | παρ᾿ | prep-dat) him that day, for it was about the tenth hour.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we gazed on his glory, glory as of the only Son from (para | παρά | prep-gen) the Father, full of grace and truth.

There came on the scene a man sent from (para | παρά | prep-gen) God, whose name was John.

And everyone, when they saw this, began to grumble, “He went in to lodge with (para | παρά | prep-dat) a sinful man.”

As Jesus drew near to Jericho, there was a blind man sitting by (para | παρά | prep-acc) the roadside, asking for alms.

Jesus said, “What is impossible for (para | παρά | prep-dat) mortal beings is possible for (para | παρά | prep-dat) God.”
