and what you have heard from (par | παρ᾿ | prep-gen) me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these things to faithful men, who will also be able to teach others.
nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. Instead we kept working night and day with toil and hardship, so we would not be a burden to any of you,
But we charge you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to stay away from any brother who conducts himself in a disorderly manner and not according to the tradition that they received from (par | παρ᾿ | prep-gen) us.
Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from (par | παρ᾿ | prep-gen) us how you ought to live so as to please God (even as you are doing), that you do so more and more.
And for this reason we also constantly thank God, that when you received the word of God which you heard from (par | παρ᾿ | prep-gen) us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it truly is, the word of God, which even now is doing its work in you who believe.
