The grace of our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Pray also for us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st), brothers.

Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your spirit, soul, and body be preserved completely whole and blameless at the coming of our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) Lord Jesus Christ.

who died for us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st), so that whether we are awake or asleep we will come to life together with him.

For God has not appointed us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) Lord Jesus Christ,

but let us (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) who belong to the daylight stay sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

Then we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) who are alive, who remain behind, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be forever with the Lord.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) who are alive, who remain behind until the coming of the Lord, will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep,

For God has not called us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) for impurity, but in holiness.

Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) how you ought to live so as to please God (even as you are doing), that you do so more and more.
