And he said, “I tell you the truth, that this poor widow has put in more (pleion | πλεῖον | acc sg neut comparative) than all the rest.

Those who were leading the way began to rebuke him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all (pollō | πολλῷ | dat sg neut) the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

But first he must suffer many (polla | πολλά | acc pl neut) things and be rejected by this generation.

“The one who is faithful in the smallest thing is also faithful in something great (pollō | πολλῷ | dat sg neut); and the one who is dishonest in the smallest thing is also dishonest in something great (pollō | πολλῷ | dat sg neut).

Not many (pollas | πολλάς | acc pl fem) days later, the younger son gathered up everything and left for a journey to a distant country, and there he squandered his property by living recklessly.

Great (polloi | πολλοί | nom pl masc) crowds of people were traveling with him, and he turned and said to them,

But he said to him, “A man once gave a great banquet and invited many (pollous | πολλούς | acc pl masc) guests.

“Do your best to go in through the narrow door; for many (polloi | πολλοί | nom pl masc), I tell you, will try to go in and not be able.

But the one who did not know, and did things worthy of blows, will be beaten with few blows. Everyone to whom much (poly | πολύ | nom sg neut) was given, much (poly | πολύ | nom sg neut) will be required from him, and to whom much (poly | πολύ | acc sg neut) was handed over, they will ask more of him.

“And that servant who knew his master’s will but did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will be beaten with many (pollas | πολλάς | acc pl fem) blows.
