For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, and we (epotisthēmen | ἐποτίσθημεν | aor pass ind 1 pl) were (epotisthēmen | ἐποτίσθημεν | aor pass ind 1 pl) all imbued (epotisthēmen | ἐποτίσθημεν | aor pass ind 1 pl) with (epotisthēmen | ἐποτίσθημεν | aor pass ind 1 pl) one Spirit.

The one who plants and the one who waters (potizōn | ποτίζων | pres act ptcp nom sg masc) have a common purpose, and each will receive his wages on the basis of his work.

So neither the one who plants nor the one (potizōn | ποτίζων | pres act ptcp nom sg masc) who (potizōn | ποτίζων | pres act ptcp nom sg masc) waters (potizōn | ποτίζων | pres act ptcp nom sg masc) is anything, but God is the one who gives the growth.

I planted, Apollos watered (epotisen | ἐπότισεν | aor act ind 3 sg), but God has been causing the growth.

I (epotisa | ἐπότισα | aor act ind 1 sg) gave (epotisa | ἐπότισα | aor act ind 1 sg) you milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready,

To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink (potize | πότιζε | pres act imperative 2 sg); for by doing this you will heap burning coals on his head.”

Then the Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger to lead it away and to water (potizei | ποτίζει | pres act ind 3 sg) it?

Then someone ran, filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a staff, and gave (epotizen | ἐπότιζεν | imperf act ind 3 sg) it to him to (epotizen | ἐπότιζεν | imperf act ind 3 sg) drink (epotizen | ἐπότιζεν | imperf act ind 3 sg), saying, “Permit me; let us see if Elijah will come to take him down.”

For I tell you the truth, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink (potisē | ποτίσῃ | aor act subj 3 sg) because you bear the name of Christ will most certainly not lose his reward.
