And they conscripted a certain passerby, Simon of Cyrene (the father of Alexander and Rufus) (Hrouphou | Ῥούφου | gen sg masc), as he was coming in from the country, to bear his cross.
from the tribe of Judah twelve thousand sealed, from the tribe of Reuben (Hroubēn | Ῥουβήν | gen sg masc) twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand,
And the rest were killed by the sword (rhomphaia | ῥομφαίᾳ | dat sg fem) that extended from the mouth of the one who rode the horse; and all the birds gorged themselves with their flesh.
From his mouth extends a sharp sword (rhomphaia | ῥομφαία | nom sg fem) so that with it he can strike down the nations. He will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the furious wrath of God the Almighty.
And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider’s name was Death, and Hades was following with him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword (rhomphaia | ῥομφαίᾳ | dat sg fem) and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.
Therefore repent! Otherwise, I will come to you without delay and will fight against them with the sword (rhomphaia | ῥομφαίᾳ | dat sg fem) of my mouth.
In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword (rhomphaia | ῥομφαία | nom sg fem), and his face was shining like the sun at full strength.
