he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross! (staurou | σταυροῦ | gen sg masc)

and to reconcile both to God in one body through the cross (staurou | σταυροῦ | gen sg masc), having put the hostility to death in himself.

But may I never boast, except in the cross (staurō | σταυρῷ | dat sg masc) of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Those who want to make a good showing in the flesh, they are the ones trying to force you to be circumcised — only so that they may not be persecuted for the cross (staurō | σταυρῷ | dat sg masc) of Christ.

But I, brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross (staurou | σταυροῦ | gen sg masc) has been removed.

For the message of the cross (staurou | σταυροῦ | gen sg masc) is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with eloquent wisdom, lest the cross (stauros | σταυρός | nom sg masc) of Christ be rendered ineffective.

Then, since it was the day of Preparation, so that the bodies would not remain on the cross (staurou | σταυροῦ | gen sg masc) on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate to have the legs of the crucified men broken and their bodies taken down.

Now standing beside Jesus’ cross (staurō | σταυρῷ | dat sg masc) were his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

And Pilate wrote an inscription and fastened it to the cross (staurou | σταυροῦ | gen sg masc). It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.”
