But Abraham (Abraam | Ἀβραάμ | nom sg masc) said, ‘Child, remember that you received your good things during your lifetime, and Lazarus correspondingly received bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.
And calling out he said, ‘Father Abraham (Abraam | Ἀβραάμ | voc sg masc), have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth there, when you see Abraham (Abraam | Ἀβραάμ | acc sg masc) and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves cast outside.
And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham (Abraam | Ἀβραάμ | gen sg masc) whom Satan bound for eighteen years, be released from this bondage on the day of the Sabbath?”
Bear, then, fruits worthy of repentance. Do not even begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham (Abraam | Ἀβραάμ | acc sg masc) as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able, out of these stones, to raise up children to Abraham (Abraam | Ἀβραάμ | dat sg masc).
