I appeal you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy (hagian | ἁγίαν | acc sg fem) and acceptable to God — this is a reasonable act of worship for you.
If the dough offered as first fruits is holy (hagia | ἁγία | nom sg fem), so also is the whole lump; and if the root is holy (hagia | ἁγία | nom sg fem), so also are the branches.
And God, who searches our hearts, knows the desire of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints (hagiōn | ἁγίων | gen pl masc) according to the will of God.
and hope does not disappoint us, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy (hagiou | ἁγίου | gen sg neut) Spirit who was given to us.
To all who are in Rome, loved by God and called to be saints: (hagiois | ἁγίοις | dat pl masc) Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
And not being in harmony among themselves, they departed after Paul made one further statement. “The Holy (hagion | ἅγιον | nom sg neut) Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet:
And I did so in Jerusalem; not only did I lock up in prison many of the saints (hagiōn | ἁγίων | gen pl masc), after receiving authority from the chief priests, and when they were put to death I cast my vote against them.
