Mnemonics

Let's play with a larger ball.

Notes

πλείων is masculine and feminine, πλεῖον is neuter. It is a 3-3 adjective. The genitive of both is πλείονος. Notice the ablaut in the final stem vowel. See the Appendix for its full declension pattern, page 351. If you are following Track Two, just memorize this word for now; its forms will be explained in chapter 10.

Because of the word's meaning, it will often be followed by a word in the genitive. You can use the key word "than" with the word in the genitive.

Biblical Concordance

Either this word does not occur in the New Testament, or it occurs too frequently to show.
