John 16:4 But I have said these things to you so that when their hour comes you will remember that I told you about them. “I did not tell you these things at the start because I was with you.
John 16:5 But now I am going away to the (ton | τόν | acc sg masc) one who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’
John 16:6 But because I have told you these things, sorrow has filled your heart.
John 16:7 Nevertheless I am telling you the (tēn | τήν | acc sg fem) truth; it is to your advantage that I am going away. For if I do not go away, the (ho | | nom sg masc) Paraclete will not come to you; but if I go away, I will send him to you.
John 16:8 And he, when he comes, will convict the (ton | τόν | acc sg masc) world in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:
John 16:10 in regard to righteousness, because I am going away to the (ton | τόν | acc sg masc) Father, and you will see me no longer;
John 16:11 in regard to judgment, because the (ho | | nom sg masc) ruler of (tou | τοῦ | gen sg masc) this world has been condemned.

John 16:14 He will glorify me, for he will receive what is mine and tell it to you.

John 16:18 So they kept saying, “What is this ‘little while’ of which he speaks? We do not understand what he is talking about.”
John 16:19 Jesus knew that they wanted to question him, so he said to them, “Are you deliberating with one another about this — that I said, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’?
John 16:20 I tell you the solemn truth, you will weep and wail, and the (ho | | nom sg masc) world will rejoice; you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
John 16:21 When a ( | | nom sg fem) woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come; but when the (to | τό | acc sg neut) baby is born, she no longer remembers the (tēs | τῆς | gen sg fem) anguish, because of the (tēn | τήν | acc sg fem) joy that a child has been born into the (ton | τόν | acc sg masc) world.
John 16:22 So for now you have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.
John 16:23 On that day you will question me about nothing. I tell you the solemn truth: whatever you ask of the (ton | τόν | acc sg masc) Father in my name he will give to you.
John 16:24 Up till now you have asked for nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be complete.
John 16:25 “I have told you these things using veiled language. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in veiled language but will tell you plainly about the (tou | τοῦ | gen sg masc) Father.
John 16:26 In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying to you that I will intercede with the (ton | τόν | acc sg masc) Father on your behalf;
John 16:27 for the (ho | | nom sg masc) Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have come to believe that I came forth from God.
John 16:28 I came forth from the (tou | τοῦ | gen sg masc) Father and have entered into the (ton | τόν | acc sg masc) world; now I am leaving the (ton | τόν | acc sg masc) world and going back to the (ton | τόν | acc sg masc) Father.”
John 16:29 His disciples said, “Ah, now you are speaking plainly and not using veiled language!
John 16:32 Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own place, and you will leave me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the (ho | | nom sg masc) Father is with me.
John 16:33 I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the ( | τῷ | dat sg masc) world you will have tribulation, but take courage, I have conquered the (ton | τόν | acc sg masc) world.”
