As he said these things, all his adversaries were put to shame, while all the people rejoiced at all the glorious things that were done by (hyp | ὑπ᾿ | prep-gen) him.
“No one lights a lamp and puts it in a vault or under (hypo | ὑπό | prep-acc) a basket, but on a lampstand, so that those who come in can see the light.
All things have been handed over to me by (hypo | ὑπό | prep-gen) my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides to reveal him.”
Now Herod the tetrarch heard about everything that was happening, and he was thoroughly perplexed because it was being said by (hypo | ὑπό | prep-gen) some that John had been raised from the dead,
For Jesus had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man; for many times it had seized him and he was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles, yet he would break his bonds and be driven by (hypo | ὑπό | prep-gen) the demon into the desert.
As for what fell among the thorns — these are the ones who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by (hypo | ὑπό | prep-gen) the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and they do not bring fruit to maturity.
When John’s messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to look at? A reed being shaken by (hypo | ὑπό | prep-gen) the wind?
For I too am a man set under (hypo | ὑπό | prep-acc) authority, having soldiers under (hyp | ὑπ᾿ | prep-acc) me: and I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
