And how are they to proclaim the message unless they are sent? As it is written, “How timely (hōraioi | ὡραῖοι | nom pl masc) are the feet of those who preach good news!”
and recognized him — that he was the one who used to sit and ask for alms at the Beautiful (hōraia | ὡραίᾳ | dat sg fem) Gate of the temple. And they were filled with awe and amazement at what had happened to him.
And a man lame from the womb of his mother was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple called the “Beautiful (hōraian | ὡραίαν | acc sg fem) Gate” to ask alms from those entering into the temple.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you are like whitewashed tombs that look beautiful (hōraioi | ὡραῖοι | nom pl masc) on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and all kinds of filth.
And they threw dust on their heads and cried out as they wept and mourned, saying, “Alas, alas, O great city by which all who had ships at sea grew rich from her prosperity! For in a single hour (hōra | ὥρᾳ | dat sg fem) she has been brought to ruin.
For in a single hour (hōra | ὥρᾳ | dat sg fem) such great wealth has been brought to ruin.” And every sea captain and everyone who travels by sea, sailors and those who make their living from the sea, stood at a distance
They will stand at a distance in fear of her torment, and say, “Alas! Alas! O great city, Babylon the mighty city! For in a single hour (hōra | ὥρᾳ | dat sg fem) your judgment has come.”
And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who as yet have not received royal power, but will receive ruling authority as kings for one hour (hōran | ὥραν | acc sg fem), along with the beast.
Then another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to the one who was sitting on the cloud, “Thrust in your sickle and reap, for the hour (hōra | ὥρα | nom sg fem) to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.”
And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour (hōra | ὥρα | nom sg fem) of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
