Only, as (hōs | ὡς | conj) the Lord has assigned to each person, as (hōs | ὡς | conj) God has called each one, so let that person conduct his life. And thus I prescribe in all the churches.

Now to the unmarried and to the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single, as (hōs | ὡς | conj) I am.

I wish that all men were as (hōs | ὡς | particle) I myself am. But each has his own gift from God, one of one kind and one of another.

For though I am absent in body, I am present in spirit; and I have already passed judgment on the one who did this, just as (hōs | ὡς | particle) though I were present.

when slandered, we respond kindly. We have become, as (hōs | ὡς | particle) it were, the scum of the world, the refuse of all things, even now.

For it seems to me that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as (hōs | ὡς | particle) men sentenced to death, because we have become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men.

For who sees anything superior in you? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as (hōs | ὡς | particle) if you did not receive it?

This is how one should regard us, as (hōs | ὡς | particle) servants of Christ and stewards of God’s mysteries.
