I speak as (hōs | ὡς | particle) to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I am about to say.

So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box like (hōs | ὡς | particle) one flailing the air.

To those outside the law I became as (hōs | ὡς | particle) one outside the law (though I am not free from the law of God but subject to the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law.

To the Jews I became as (hōs | ὡς | particle) a Jew that I might win Jews. To those under the law I became as (hōs | ὡς | particle) one under the law (though I myself am not under the law) that I might win those under the law.

Do we not have the right to the company of a believing wife, as (hōs | ὡς | particle) also the other apostles, the Lord’s brothers, and Cephas do?

However, not everyone has this knowledge. But some, because in former times they were involved with idols, eat this food as (hōs | ὡς | particle) though it were an idol sacrifice, and thus their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

and those who use the world as (hōs | ὡς | particle) though they were not absorbed in it. For the form of this world is passing away.

and those who mourn as (hōs | ὡς | particle) though they were not mourning, and those who rejoice as (hōs | ὡς | particle) though they were not rejoicing, and those who buy as (hōs | ὡς | particle) though they had no possessions,

And I say this, my brothers: the time has grown short. From now on those who have wives should be as (hōs | ὡς | particle) though they had none,

Now concerning virgins: I have no command from the Lord, but I give my opinion as (hōs | ὡς | particle) one who has been shown mercy by the Lord and is trustworthy.
