When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those who were following, “I tell you the truth, I have not found faith like this in (par | παρ᾿ | prep-dat) anyone in Israel.
“Take care not to perform your good deeds before others so as to be seen by them; otherwise you have no reward from (para | παρά | prep-dat) your Father who is in heaven.
As he was walking by (para | παρά | prep-acc) the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who was called Peter and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious; and he sent and killed all the male children in and around Bethlehem who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had determined from (para | παρά | prep-gen) the wise men.
Now concerning Apollos our brother: I strongly urged him to go to you with the other brothers, but it was not at all (pantōs | πάντως | adverb) his intention to go now. He will go when he has an opportunity.
To the weak I became weak that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means (pantōs | πάντως | adverb) I might save some.
Or does he not speak entirely (pantōs | πάντως | adverb) for our sake. To be sure, it was written for our sake, because the one plowing should plow in hope and the one threshing thresh in hope of sharing in the crop.
