because true and just are his judgments. For he has judged the great prostitute (pornēn | πόρνην | acc sg fem) who corrupted the earth with her immorality, and has avenged the blood of his servants shed by her hand.”
As for the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will hate the prostitute (pornēn | πόρνην | acc sg fem) and make her desolate and naked. They will devour her flesh and burn her up with fire,
Then the angel said to me, “The waters that you saw, where the prostitute (pornē | πόρνη | nom sg fem) is seated, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages.
And on her forehead was written a name, a mystery: “Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes (pornōn | πορνῶν | gen pl fem) and of the abominations of the earth.”
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute (pornēs | πόρνης | gen sg fem) who is seated on many waters.
And in the same way was not also Rahab the harlot (pornē | πόρνη | nom sg fem) justified by works when she took in the spies and sent them out by another way?
Or do you not know that he who joins himself to a prostitute (pornē | πόρνῃ | dat sg fem) is one body with her? For it says, “The two will become one flesh.”
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute (pornēs | πόρνης | gen sg fem)? Never!
