Then the serpent spouted water like a river (potamon | ποταμόν | acc sg masc) out of his mouth after the woman to sweep her away by a flood,

saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river (potamō | ποταμῷ | dat sg masc) Euphrates.”

The third angel blew his trumpet, and there fell from heaven a great star, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers (potamōn | ποταμῶν | gen pl masc) and on the springs of water.

On my frequent journeys I have been exposed to dangers from rivers (potamōn | ποταμῶν | gen pl masc), dangers from bandits, dangers from my own people, dangers from Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the countryside, dangers at sea, dangers at the hands of false brothers;
