so as to establish (stērixai | στηρίξαι | aor act inf ) your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
and we sent Timothy, our brother and coworker for God in the gospel of Christ, to establish (stērixai | στηρίξαι | aor act inf ) and encourage you in your faith,
Now to him who is able to (stērixai | στηρίξαι | aor act inf ) establish (stērixai | στηρίξαι | aor act inf ) you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that has been kept secret for long ages past,
but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have returned, strengthen (stērison | στήρισον | aor act imperative 2 sg) your brothers.”
Besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been put (estēriktai | ἐστήρικται | perf pass ind 3 sg) in place, so that those wishing to cross over from here to you are not able, and no one can cross from there to us.’
You therefore, dear friends, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard that you are not led astray by the error of these lawless people and fall from your stable position (stērigmou | στηριγμοῦ | gen sg masc).
So then, brothers, stand (stēkete | στήκετε | pres act imperative 2 pl) firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught, either by what we said or what we wrote.
