And great crowds gathered (synēchthēsan | συνήχθησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl) around him so that he got into a boat and sat down, and all the crowd stood on the beach.

For the sun rises with (syn | σύν | prep-dat) its scorching heat and withers the meadow; its flower falls and its beauty fades. In the same way the rich man will fade away while pursuing his business.
