But this I confess to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect (hairesin | αἵρεσιν | acc sg fem), thus I worship the God of our fathers, believing all things that are according to the Law and written in the Prophets,
For we found this man to be a troublemaker, one who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect (haireseōs | αἱρέσεως | gen sg fem) of the Nazarenes.
But some arose from the party (haireseōs | αἱρέσεως | gen sg fem) of the Pharisees, believers, and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and order them to keep the law of Moses.”
Then the high priest stood up and all who were with him (that is, the party (hairesis | αἵρεσις | nom sg fem) of the Sadducees), and filled with indignation,
choosing (helomenos | ἑλόμενος | aor mid ptcp nom sg masc) rather to suffer hardship along with the people of God than to enjoy the transient pleasure of sin.
But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose (heilato | εἵλατο | aor mid ind 3 sg) you as first fruits for salvation, by sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth.
If I am to go on living in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me; yet I do not know which I would prefer (hairēsomai | αἱρήσομαι | fut mid ind 1 sg).
Now John also was baptizing at Aenon (Ainōn | Αἰνών | dat sg fem) near Salim, because there were many springs there, and people kept coming to be baptized.
And immediately he could see again, and began to follow Jesus, giving glory to God. And all the people, when they saw this, gave praise (ainon | αἶνον | acc sg masc) to God.
and they said to him, “Do you hear what they are saying?” “Yes,” replied Jesus, “but have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have brought forth praise’?” (ainon | αἶνον | acc sg masc)
