Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said, “Before the rooster (alektora | ἀλέκτορα | acc sg masc) crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.

Then he began to invoke curses on himself and swear to them, “I do not know that man!” And immediately the rooster (alektōr | ἀλέκτωρ | nom sg masc) crowed.

Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, this very night, before the rooster (alektora | ἀλέκτορα | acc sg masc) crows, you will deny me three times.”

So stay alert — for you do not know when the master of the house will return, whether in the evening, or at midnight, or at cock (alektorophōnias | ἀλεκτοροφωνίας | gen sg fem) crowing, or toward daybreak —

Is anyone among you sick? He should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over him, anointing (aleipsantes | ἀλείψαντες | aor act ptcp nom pl masc) him with oil in the name of the Lord;

Mary took more than a pint of expensive perfume made of pure nard and anointed (ēleipsen | ἤλειψεν | aor act ind 3 sg) the feet of Jesus and dried them with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

It was this Mary who anointed (aleipsasa | ἀλείψασα | aor act ptcp nom sg fem) the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was ill.

and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to bathe his feet with her tears. She kept wiping his feet with the hair of her head, and kissing them and pouring (ēleiphen | ἤλειφεν | imperf act ind 3 sg) the perfume on (ēleiphen | ἤλειφεν | imperf act ind 3 sg) them.

And when the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go and anoint (aleipsōsin | ἀλείψωσιν | aor act subj 3 pl) him.
