Now there were in Antioch in the local church prophets and teachers, both (te | τε | conj) Barnabas and Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius the Cyrenian, and (te | τε | conj) Manaen, the foster-brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
But Peter motioned to them with his hand to be silent, and he related how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And (te | τε | conj) he said, “Tell these things to James and to the brothers.” Then he departed and went to another place.
When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose other name was Mark, where there were many gathered together and praying.
Now when Herod was about to bring him out, on that very night, Peter was asleep between two soldiers, bound with two chains; and (te | τε | conj) guards before the door were guarding the prison.
and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a considerable number of people. And (te | τε | conj) in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.
And we are witnesses of all that he did both (te | τε | conj) in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom also they put to death by hanging him on a tree.
So immediately I sent for you, and (te | τε | conj) you did well by coming. Now therefore we are all here in the presence of God to hear all that has been commanded you by the Lord.”
And (te | τε | conj) he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a man who is a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another race, but God showed me that I should call no person common or unclean.
And they said, “Cornelius, a centurion, an upright man and one who fears God, who is well spoken of by the whole nation of the Jews, was directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and to hear words from you.”
