And when the argument became violent, the commanding officer, afraid that Paul would be torn apart by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him away from among them by force and (te | τε | conj) bring him into the barracks.
And (te | τε | conj) Paul said, “I did not realize, brothers, that he was high priest; for it is written, ‘You shall not speak evil about the ruler of your people.’”
As he was about to be brought into the barracks, Paul said to the commanding officer, “Is it allowed for me to say something to you?” He replied, “Do you know Greek?
