not
Oooo! That's not good!
Away in a manger, no crib for a bed.
“Unless your righteousness exceeds beyond that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will οὐ enter the kingdom of heaven.”(Matt 5:20)
οὐκ and οὐχ are different forms of οὐ. οὐ is used when the following word begins with a consonant. οὐκ is used when the next word begins with a vowel and smooth breathing, while οὐχ is used when the next word begins with a vowel and rough breathing. All forms mean “not.”
| 1 Corinthians 7:6 | This I say by way of concession, not (ou | οὐ | particle) of command. |
| 1 Corinthians 7:9 | But if they are not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) practicing self-control, they should marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with sexual passion. |
| 1 Corinthians 7:10 | To the married I give this command (not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) I, but the Lord): a wife should not separate from her husband |
| 1 Corinthians 7:12 | To the rest I say (I, not (ouch | οὐχ | particle) the Lord): If some brother has a wife who is not a believer, and she is willing to live with him, he should not divorce her. |
| 1 Corinthians 7:15 | But if the unbelieving partner separates, let it be so. In such cases the brother or the sister is not (ou | οὐ | particle) bound. It is to peace that God has called us. |
| 1 Corinthians 7:25 | Now concerning virgins: I have no (ouk | οὐκ | particle) command from the Lord, but I give my opinion as one who has been shown mercy by the Lord and is trustworthy. |
| 1 Corinthians 7:28 | But if you do marry, you have not (ouch | οὐχ | particle) sinned, and if a virgin marries, she has not (ouch | οὐχ | particle) sinned. However those who do marry will have worldly trouble, and I am trying to spare you. |
| 1 Corinthians 7:35 | I am saying this for your benefit, not (ouch | οὐχ | particle) to put a restraint on you, but to promote propriety and undivided devotion to the Lord. |
| 1 Corinthians 7:36 | If someone believes he is not treating his virgin in an appropriate manner, if his passions are strong, and so it has to be, he should do what he desires, it is no (ouch | οὐχ | particle) sin — let them marry. |
| 1 Corinthians 8:7 | However, not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) everyone has this knowledge. But some, because in former times they were involved with idols, eat this food as though it were an idol sacrifice, and thus their conscience, being weak, is defiled. |
| 1 Corinthians 8:8 | Food does not (ou | οὐ | particle) bring us close to God. We are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do. |
| 1 Corinthians 8:13 | Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, again I will never (ou | οὐ | particle) eat meat, lest I cause one of them to stumble. |
| 1 Corinthians 9:1 | Am I not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) free? Am I not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not (ou | οὐ | particle) the result of my labor in the Lord? |
| 1 Corinthians 9:2 | If to others I am not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) an apostle, at least I am to you, for you are the proof of my apostleship in the Lord. |
| 1 Corinthians 9:4 | Do we not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) have the right to eat and drink? |
| 1 Corinthians 9:5 | Do we not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) have the right to the company of a believing wife, as also the other apostles, the Lord’s brothers, and Cephas do? |
| 1 Corinthians 9:6 | Or is it only I and Barnabas who have no (ouk | οὐκ | particle) right to refrain from working? |
| 1 Corinthians 9:7 | Who serves in the army at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) eat its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) drink of its milk? |
| 1 Corinthians 9:8 | Am I saying these things from a merely human point of view? Or does not (ou | οὐ | particle) the Law say the same? |
| 1 Corinthians 9:9 | For in the Law of Moses it is written, “You shall not (ou | οὐ | particle) muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” It is not for oxen that God is concerned, is it? |
| 1 Corinthians 9:12 | If others have a share in this right over you, do not (ou | οὐ | particle) we even more? Nevertheless, we have not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) made use of this right, but endure all things lest we place some obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ. |
| 1 Corinthians 9:13 | Do you not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) know that those who perform sacred rites in the temple eat food from the temple, and those who serve at the altar share in the sacrificial offerings? |
| 1 Corinthians 9:15 | But I have not (ou | οὐ | particle) used any of these rights. And I am not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) writing this so that something will be done for me; for it would be better for me rather to die — no one shall take away my ground for boasting! |
| 1 Corinthians 9:16 | If I preach the gospel, I do not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) have a ground for boasting, for I am compelled to do so. Woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! |
| 1 Corinthians 9:24 | Do you not (ouk | οὐκ | particle) know that all who run in the stadium compete but only one receives the prize? So run that you may win. |
