This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ (Christon | Χριστόν | acc sg masc) and about the church.

for no one ever hates his own body but nourishes and takes care of it, just as Christ (Christos | Χριστός | nom sg masc) does the church,

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ (Christos | Χριστός | nom sg masc) loved the church and gave himself up for her,

But as the church is subject to Christ (Christō | Χριστῷ | dat sg masc), so also should wives be subject to their husbands in everything.

for the husband is the head of the wife as Christ (Christos | Χριστός | nom sg masc) also is the head of the church, and is himself the savior of the body.

Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc).

giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc) to God the Father at all times and for everything.

for everything that becomes illuminated is light. Therefore it says, “Wake up, sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ (Christos | Χριστός | nom sg masc) will shine on you.”

For you may sure of this, that no fornicator or impure or covetous person (such a one is an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc) and of God.

and live in love, just as Christ (Christos | Χριστός | nom sg masc) loved us and gave himself for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
