Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with sincerity of heart, as (hōs | ὡς | conj) though obeying Christ,

Nevertheless, each one of you is to love his wife as (hōs | ὡς | conj) he loves himself, and the wife is to respect her husband.

In the same way husbands also should love their wives as (hōs | ὡς | conj) their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself,

But as (hōs | ὡς | conj) the church is subject to Christ, so also should wives be subject to their husbands in everything.

for the husband is the head of the wife as (hōs | ὡς | conj) Christ also is the head of the church, and is himself the savior of the body.

Wives, be subject to your husbands as (hōs | ὡς | particle) to the Lord,
