Do not domineer over those entrusted to your charge, but be examples to the flock.

Dear friends, do not be surprised that a trial by fire is taking place among you, as (hōs | ὡς | particle) though something strange were happening to you.

if someone speaks, as (hōs | ὡς | particle) speaking the oracles of God; if someone serves, as (hōs | ὡς | particle) by the strength that God supplies — so that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and power forever and ever. Amen.

Each one should serve others in respect to the gift he has received, as (hōs | ὡς | particle) a good steward of the grace of God in its various forms:

Husbands, in the same way, live with them with understanding, showing honor to the woman as (hōs | ὡς | particle) a weaker vessel, since (hōs | ὡς | particle) you are joint heirs of the gracious gift of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
