Early (prōias | πρωΐας | gen sg fem) in the morning, all the ruling priests and the elders of the people laid plans against Jesus, how they might put him to death.
When they had arranged a day to meet with him, many came to him at his lodging, and he expounded to them, testifying to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus both from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning (prōi | πρωΐ | adverb) till evening.
Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came early (prōi | πρωΐ | adverb) to the tomb, while it was still dark, and she saw the stone removed from the tomb.
Then they took Jesus from Caiaphas to the governor’s headquarters. It was early (prōi | πρωΐ | adverb), and they did not go into the governor’s headquarters so that they would not be defiled, but could eat the Passover meal.
Now when Jesus arose early (prōi | πρωΐ | adverb) on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.
As soon as it was morning (prōi | πρωΐ | adverb), the ruling priests, after holding a consultation with the elders and scribes and the entire council, bound Jesus, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate.
So stay alert — for you do not know when the master of the house will return, whether in the evening, or at midnight, or at cock crowing, or toward daybreak (prōi | πρωΐ | adverb) —
