In English, "you" can be either singular or plural. σύ is always singular. Greek has a different form for the plural.

| Romans 11:17 | But if some of the branches were broken off, and you (sy | σύ | nom sg 2nd), although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, |
| Romans 11:18 | do not become arrogant toward the branches. But if you do, consider this: it is not you (sy | σύ | nom sg 2nd) who support the root, but the root that supports you (se | σέ | acc sg 2nd). |
| Romans 11:20 | That is true. They were broken off because of unbelief, and you (sy | σύ | nom sg 2nd) stand by faith. Do not be proud, but stand in awe. |
| Romans 11:21 | For if God did not spare the natural branches, perhaps he will not spare you (sou | σοῦ | gen sg 2nd) either. |
| Romans 11:22 | Consider therefore the kindness and the severity of God — severity to those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you (se | σέ | acc sg 2nd), provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you (sy | σύ | nom sg 2nd) too will be cut off. |
| Romans 11:24 | For if you (sy | σύ | nom sg 2nd) were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree? |
| Romans 12:20 | To the contrary, “if your (sou | σου | gen sg 2nd) enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by doing this you will heap burning coals on his head.” |
| Romans 13:4 | for he is a servant of God for your (soi | σοί | dat sg 2nd) good. But if you do what is wrong, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain. he is a servant of God, an avenger to carry out wrath on the one who does wrong. |
| Romans 13:9 | For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” (and any other commandment there may be) are summed up in this “You shall love your (sou | σου | gen sg 2nd) neighbor as yourself.” |

| Romans 14:10 | Why do you (sy | σύ | nom sg 2nd) pass judgment on your (sou | σου | gen sg 2nd) brother? Or again, why do you (sy | σύ | nom sg 2nd) hold your (sou | σου | gen sg 2nd) brother in contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. |
| Romans 14:15 | if your (sou | σου | gen sg 2nd) brother is being hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy by what you (sou | σου | gen sg 2nd) eat that brother for whom Christ died. |
| Romans 14:21 | It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine or to do anything that makes your (sou | σου | gen sg 2nd) brother stumble. |

| Romans 15:9 | and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, “For this reason I will acknowledge you (soi | σοι | dat sg 2nd) among the Gentiles and sing praises to your (sou | σου | gen sg 2nd) name.” |
| 1 Corinthians 4:7 | For who sees anything superior in you (se | σε | acc sg 2nd)? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it? |
