Should we exercise authority?

Jesus “is the head of every principality and ἐξουσία.” (Col 2:10)
| Revelation 6:8 | And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider’s name was Death, and Hades was following with him. And authority (exousia | ἐξουσία | nom sg fem) was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth. |
| Revelation 9:3 | Then out of the smoke came locusts onto the earth, and they were given power (exousia | ἐξουσία | nom sg fem) like the power (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem) of scorpions of the earth. |
| Revelation 9:10 | They had tails like scorpions, with stingers; and their power (exousia | ἐξουσία | nom sg fem) to hurt people for five months lies in their tails. |
| Revelation 9:19 | For the power (exousia | ἐξουσία | nom sg fem) of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails, for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they inflict harm. |
| Revelation 11:6 | These two witnesses have the power (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem) to shut the sky so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophesying, and they have power (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem) over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague, as often as they wish. |
| Revelation 12:10 | Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “Just now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority (exousia | ἐξουσία | nom sg fem) of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, the one who accuses them day and night before our God. |
| Revelation 13:2 | And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And to the beast the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem). |
| Revelation 13:4 | They worshiped the dragon because he had given authority (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem) to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast?” and, “Who is able to make war against him?” |
| Revelation 13:5 | The beast was given a mouth to speak arrogant words and blasphemies, and he was allowed to exercise authority (exousia | ἐξουσία | nom sg fem) for forty-two months. |
| Revelation 13:7 | The beast was allowed to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority (exousia | ἐξουσία | nom sg fem) over every tribe and people and language and nation. |
| Revelation 13:12 | He exercised all the authority (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem) of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and those who live in it to worship the first beast, the one whose deadly wound had been healed. |
| Revelation 14:18 | Then another angel, the one who had authority (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem) over the fire, came out from the altar and called with a loud voice to the angel who had the sharp sickle, “Thrust in your sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” |
| Revelation 16:9 | Although scorched by the fierce heat they cursed the name of God who had authority (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem) over these plagues, and would not repent and give him glory. |
| Revelation 17:12 | And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who as yet have not received royal power, but will receive ruling authority (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem) as kings for one hour, along with the beast. |
| Revelation 17:13 | These are of one mind and will hand over their power and authority (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem) to the beast. |
| Revelation 18:1 | After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem), and the earth was made bright with his glory. |
| Revelation 20:6 | Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power (exousian | ἐξουσίαν | acc sg fem), but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years. |
| Revelation 22:14 | Blessed are those who wash their robes, so they will have the right (exousia | ἐξουσία | nom sg fem) to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates. |
