The place where they serve is a shadowy suggestion (hypodeigmati | ὑποδείγματι | dat sg neut) of the heavenly sanctuary, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to erect the tabernacle; for he said, “See that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”
