We know that everyone who has been born of God does (hamartanei | ἁμαρτάνει | pres act ind 3 sg) not continue to sin (hamartanei | ἁμαρτάνει | pres act ind 3 sg), but the one who was born of God protects him and the evil one will not harm him.
