Now Herod was very angry with the Tyrinians and the Sidonians, and with one accord they came to him and when they had persuaded Blastus, who was in charge of the bed-chamber of the king, they asked for peace because their country’s food-supply (trephesthai | τρέφεσθαι | pres pass inf ) was provided by the king’s country.
