After this Joseph of Arimathea, a disciple of Jesus (though a secret one due to his fear of the Jews) asked Pilate if he could remove the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission, so he came (ēlthen | ἦλθεν | aor act ind 3 sg) and removed the body.
