After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth (gēs | γῆς | gen sg fem) holding back the four winds of the earth (gēs | γῆς | gen sg fem), so that no wind could blow on the earth (gēs | γῆς | gen sg fem) or on the sea or against any tree.
