I rejoice
caivrein (an infinitive, chapter 32) was the common greeting in Koine Greek (cf. Acts 15:23; James 1:1).
There was a great rejoicing in the city of Cairo.

The future middle deponent is quite regular. The stem diphthong αι has shifted to alpha (ablaut, as in the aorist passive), and the η is inserted after the stem.*χαιρ → χαρ → αρήσομαι. ἐχάρην is second aorist passive.
