Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his descendant (spermati | σπέρματι | dat sg neut). Scripture does not say, “and to descendants,” (spermasin | σπέρμασιν | dat pl neut) referring to many, but “and to your descendant,” (spermati | σπέρματι | dat sg neut) referring to one, who is Christ.
