When they had arranged a day to meet with him, many came to him at his lodging, and he expounded to them, testifying to the kingdom of God and trying (peithōn | πείθων | pres act ptcp nom sg masc) to convince them about Jesus both from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning till evening.
