After this Joseph (Iōsēph | Ἰωσήφ | nom sg masc) of Arimathea, a disciple of Jesus (though a secret one due to his fear of the Jews) asked Pilate if he could remove the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission, so he came and removed the body.
