Now Herod was very angry (thumomachōn | θυμομαχῶν | pres act ptcp nom sg masc) with the Tyrinians and the Sidonians, and with one accord they came to him and when they had persuaded Blastus, who was in charge of the bed-chamber of the king, they asked for peace because their country’s food-supply was provided by the king’s country.
