And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider’s name was Death (thanatos | θάνατος | nom sg masc), and Hades was following with him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence (thanatō | θανάτῳ | dat sg masc) and by wild beasts of the earth.
